Maddy has spent her legal career protecting her clients’ constitutional rights and standing up to the government. Prior to joining DeGolia Law, Maddy was a public defender, zealously representing indigent clients accused of crimes. In her four years at the Arapahoe Trial Office of the Colorado State Public Defender, Maddy tried over fifteen cases to jury. Maddy has represented clients in matters ranging from DUIs to first-degree murders.
Maddy graduated from Stanford Law School with highest pro bono distinction indicating over 300 hours of pro bono advocacy. At Stanford, Maddy was awarded the Gerald Gunther Prize for outstanding work in Criminal Law, and the Thelton Henderson Prize for Clinical Methods for outstanding advocacy on behalf of clients in the Criminal Defense Clinic.
